Aberdeen Technical Services recently installed high-capacity fibre-optic Integrated Reception Systems (IRS) for premium home builder CALA Homes’ series of developments at Balgownie, Bridge of Don, Aberdeen.
In recent years, we have designed and installed over thirty fibre IRS projects in residential developments in North-east Scotland, and have demonstrated the marketing benefits to housebuilders of including access to sophisticated home entertainment systems in a competitive property market.
“Fibre IRS gives networked households immediate access to ultra-fast 4K television, video and audio broadcast signals within days of entry,” says Aberdeen Technical Services Director Graham Porteous.
“Residents can easily personalise their own selection of channels, and, unlike satellite-based media systems, fibre-optic cable avoids problems of signal interference from trees and other local obstacles.”
Fibre IRS systems are scalable to thousands of connected homes, and, as well as residential projects, can also be installed in hotels, hostels and hospitals.
