Fibre-Optic Cabling

Fibre-optic cabling, based on using light pulses to transmit data down fibre lines, is increasingly used as a secure and efficient medium for high-volume signal transmission over greater distances than can be achieved with copper cabling.

Fibre-optic cable networks operate at very high speeds (into the gigabits) with less need for signal refreshment or boosting, cost less to maintain and have greater resistance to electromagnetic noise and interference.

Scot-Tech Fire and Security has its own in-house fibre installation engineers, experienced in installing, splicing, terminating and testing all types of fibre-optic cabling.

Fibre-optic cabling now forms the backbone of many large communication systems, including telecommunications providers, television providers, university campuses, multi-building commercial and industrial complexes and new housing developments.
